Omaha Mermaid Necklace
This gorgeous one-off piece started out as a little holiday project for me.
As a child I collected seashells 🐚 whilst on our beach holidays. I called them ‘sea jewels’ 💎 and I marvelled at all the many different shapes and colours. I literally spent hours finding them and sorting them all out on the sand. I would never take too many home, just a few special ones that spoke to me, as this pink beauty did the day I found it at Omaha, just last month. Apparently it had a lot to say … because the beautiful little shell started off a chain of thinking that reminded me of why I started doing what I do (at Wristocracy) … at a time I really needed that little reminder. It reminded me how lucky I am and reignited my desire to create simply for the joy of it. My why.
Behold my Omaha Mermaid was born. It was the starting point for my new Mermaid Necklace range.
This necklace is approximately 51cm (20”) in length. It cannot be shortened but a sterling silver extender with your choice of star or moon motif is available with this piece at additional cost.
CUSTOM OPTION: Whilst I have made just one necklace for now - I do have a second half shell (as pictured) that could be made into something similar. Please message me if you would like me to make you something with it.
These necklaces are for land based mermaids only as some of the stones may be water sensitive as is the polish ;)

Caring for your Wristocracy:
Like with all my jewellery I do recommend you take bracelets off before entering water. Frequent exposure to water and cologne can damage the beads.
Some gemstones are water or photosensitive. This means long periods of water or sun exposure may erode or fade the stone - so it is best to keep this in mind when wearing or storing the jewellery.
Safety
Jewellery is intended for adult wear only. Please keep beads away from animals and small children and ingestion may cause harm.
Gemstones are beautiful to look at, but make no mistake - they should never be ingested. If your bracelet or necklace breaks, collect all the stones and put them in a safe place and contact the maker to remake (if possible). I will remake my pieces only. Please note there is a small charge for re-making and if extra beads are required I may charge a little bit for those also.
Most minerals are safe to wear or handle normally, however if the polish on your gemstone starts to breakdown you need to consider replacing the stones.
