Today it’s all about the purple 💜☂️🍆🎆🔮☮️ Amethyst to be exact! Who doesn’t love this magical stone? We had sooo much fun taking photos of this beautiful stone today ... The lighting was so perfect and we couldn’t resist throwing on a heap for maximum wow factor ... but we’ve got some other slightly simpler combinations to show you over the week!
Here, we’ve mixed the Cape Amethyst set with the Lilac Amethyst and thrown in the rich dark purple ... a star cut variety and some tiny purple Zirconias for a little bit of sparkle ❇️. I will have all of these available at Albany @crafternoontea this Saturday and am working on some other Amethyst surprises too.... so watch this space! More about the stone tomorrow... I hope your day has been a good one!

I took advantage of the great weather today and went to visit a very creative friend of mine to talk about life the universe and everything ... As we walked along the beach 🌊 ... it felt so great just to take a break and enjoy the beautiful scenery and talk through our own creative journeys and the realisation that I’m not the only one that struggles with balance.
I’m such an all or nothing girl and for the last year Wristocracy has been my obsession... sometimes, at the expense of time out. I’m learning that a bit of “chill time” is not just ok 👌 it is down right necessary! My goal for 2019 was to stop and smell the flowers 💐 a bit more and to learn sometimes it is ok to say "No" .... Hopefully the elusive calmness and serenity will follow!
Pictured above are the serene and calming purples of Cape Amethyst mixed with Matte White Turquoise Jasper and silver with Swarovski Crystal star. ⭐️

There are so many stories in folk lore and history about the power of the beautiful Amethyst. Treasured by the Greeks and the Romans, Amethyst was worn as a talisman to ward off the intoxicating powers of Dionysus / Bacchus (Roman equivalent) and even the name of the stone is derived from the Greek word Amethystos, which means “not drunken”.
In the Middle Ages, Bishops began to wear rings set with Amethyst as a symbol of piety and celibacy and even now Buddhists believe that Amethyst enhances the peace and tranquility of meditation, making it the preferred choice for Tibetan rosaries.
Amethyst is the traditional birthstone for February and the zodiac sign Pisces and is associated with the Crown Chakra.
I selected this beautiful coloured backdrop from an artwork made by Little Aurora Whilst this piece was not created with Amethyst in mind ... for me, I think for me it represented the spectrum of purples this beautiful stone seems to be available in.... from light and airy lilac to mixed white and purple or even purple and golden tones to deep, dark rich purples ... Each type of Amethyst possesses its own charm and I love working with all of them.
My next market is this Saturday at Crafternoon Tea, Albany .... I will be bringing quite a bit of Amethyst with me .... I have decided to offer some types as single bracelets so that you can add to your exisiting collection and/or design your preferred look. Of course others will be available in sets ... so come along and have a look and get first pick. We can even fit to your wrist size on the day ... Prices vary depending on what you select.

I have been working hard on how I can make it easier for my customers to build and individualise their own wrists to their personal taste whilst being able to continue to supply sets in all sizes ....
With Amethyst, there is a huge variance of stone colour, from light to very dark. The finishes, shapes and sizes of the beads available is also vast....
Currently, Wristocracy has 3 Amethyst based sets. What I would like to be able to bring you in 2019 is the ability to add and personalise these sets with the addition of single bracelet strands in a variety of styles without the need to add another full set. I will still continue to make new sets and they will still offer great value for money and a wonderful starting point to “build your wrist”.
Piece by piece our website will be updated to allow this, whilst offering ideas and inspiration on how things look together. I hope you like what we are working on ... personally, I am quite excited and would love your feedback.
Most often I see Amethyst paired with silver and whilst I love this combination I also love the added warmth of pairing some of the darker coloured Amethyst with copper or bronze. The image shows you some of the looks you can achieve when paired with copper, bronze and a couple of other purple stones I have available for single bracelet purchase.

Keep it simple or mix it up ... the choice is yours with Wristocracy...

Don’t forget to come along to Crafternoon Tea tomorrow, to get first pick of all my new Amethyst! Kraken Crumpets will be there with there scrumptious crumpets and toasty hot coffee and Lauren Collins performing live, providing a wonderful atmosphere. Put it in your diary now and tell some of your friends and workmates about it - share the news! I hope to see you tomorrow! Happy Friday all!

Pictured, is the last of my 3 Amethyst sets - a very delicate star cut Lilac Amethyst worn with some beautiful Swarovski Crystal and another darker shade of star cut Amethyst. This set has such a light and airy feel and I think the other two singles really highlight that look so well! I have very LIMITED NUMBERS so don’t miss out!
